a self-adhesive plate that you fix to the ceiling, and
a self-adhesive magnetic plate that you attach to your smoke alarm.
 
The adhesive pads on the magnetic plates have a strong adhesive, and cannot be easily removed.
 
NOTE: Damage to the wall or ceiling may occur when attempting to remove the magnetic mount.
